21 ways the world has changed since Leeds United were last in the Premier League

After a pretty quiet weekend there isn’t much to say about Leeds United is there?

Of course, that statement couldn’t be further from the truth as Marcelo Bielsa’s men bagged promotion to the Premier League and the Championship title over a couple of days we’ll never forget.

We’ve seen celebrations in Leeds city centre and at Elland Road while many supporters are now just looking forward to being back in the big time.

As you probably know, it has been 16 long years since Leeds United last played in the Premier League and the world has changed a hell of a lot since then.

In May 2004, could you imagine a place without an iPhone, Deliveroo, Instagram or even fidget spinners? No? Well, that was the harsh reality during that period.

Below, you can see whatever other things we had to do without when Leeds United were last in the Premier League.

We've also seen a few people cheekily suggesting Leeds United's new Premier League rivals Manchester City didn't exist back in 2004 - now we couldn't possibly comment on that.

One thing is for certain, Leeds United's return to the top flight has been a long time coming and we know supporters are still in dreamland.

If you want to relive everything there's lots of reaction to be found on our dedicated Leeds United homepage.

There you'll also find interviews, transfer gossip, expert opinion and more.
