208 cases and no deaths as NSW vaccination rate stalls

Morocco halts all inbound flights for fear of the new Omicron coronavirus variant.

VACCINATION rates in NSW remain stubbornly rooted just shy of the milestone to unlock additional freedoms.

The state is moored at 94.6 per cent, with 92.8 per cent of adults 16 and over fully jabbed.

The number of Omicron cases on Sunday jumped to 15.

Monday's update included 208 new cases, with the daily total outstripping the number in hospital across NSW.

The state has 152 people in hospital, 24 of whom are in intensive care.

No deaths were added to the pandemic's toll in the state in the 24 hours to 8pm on Sunday.

Statewide, there were 61,132 tests conducted in the 24-hour period.

Of youths from 12 to 15 years old, 81.4 per cent have a first dose and 77.2 are double dosed.

Additional details, including local health district numbers, are expected to arrive about 11am.
