Ludvig Aberg will take a three-shot lead into the final round of the Players Championship on Sunday but it could have been even bigger if he hadn’t stumbled a bit down the stretch.
Aberg settled for a par on the par-5 16th and then missed a short birdie putt on 17. Then on 18 he three-putted after hitting a perfect drive and nice approach shot. He finished with a 1-under 71 and leads Michael Thorbjornsen by one shot.
