2022 Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings: the top names behind George Kittle and Travis Kelce

Tight end is a position with some of the most continuity from last season, as many of the top guys are still on the same teams. That doesn’t mean there aren’t questions however.

How much more attention do guys like Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews get without top receivers Tyreek Hill and Marquise Brown? And how much less does someone like Darren Waller receive with Davante Adams on his team? How much will quarterback play effect George Kittle and Kyle Pitts?

These things were all considered when making this list of the top 25 tight ends to draft in non-PPR fantasy football leagues.

1
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs

2021 Fantasy PPG: 10.7 (2nd)

2021 Stats: 1,125 rec yds, 9 td in 16 games

If it’s possible to get Kelce the ball any more than he has gotten it in the past, then Patrick Mahomes will find a way to do it with Tyreek Hill gone.

2
Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens

Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports

2021 Fantasy PPG: 11.4 (1st)

2021 Stats: 1,361 rec yds, 9 td in 17 games

Similar to Kelce and the Chiefs, Mark Andrews will only see more targets with Baltimore’s former No. 1 wide receiver in another uniform.

3
George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers

Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

2021 Fantasy PPG: 9.1 (4th)

2021 Stats: 910 rec yds, 6 td in 14 games

There’s nothing better for a young quarterback like Trey Lance than a reliable security-blanket at tight end. And it helps when that tight end is one of the best in the league.

4
Darren Waller, Las Vegas Raiders

2021 Fantasy PPG: 7.1 (9th)

2021 Stats: 665 rec yds, 2 td in 11 games

Waller’s value takes a small hit because of the targets Davante Adams will command. But he’s still a huge factor in this offense, especially in the red zone.

5
Dalton Schultz, Dallas Cowboys

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

2021 Fantasy PPG: 7.7 (5th)

2021 Stats: 808 rec yds, 8 td in 17 games

Schultz was a revelation for the Cowboys last season and his role in the offense should only increase with Amari Cooper in Cleveland.

6
Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

2021 Fantasy PPG: 6.4 (12th)

2021 Stats: 1,026 rec yds, 1 td in 17 games

Even with Atlanta’s quarterback situation as it is, it’s hard to imagine Pitts being held to a single touchdown for a whole season again. He’s just too talented.

7
T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

2021 Fantasy PPG: 7.0 (11th)

2021 Stats: 583 rec yds, 4 td in 12 games

Hockenson might be Detroit’s best receiving threat and should receive a heavy dose of targets.

8
Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills

Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

2021 Fantasy PPG: 7.7 (6th)

2021 Stats: 587 rec yds, 9 td in 15 games

Expect Knox to continue scoring touchdowns at a high clip considering the attention Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis attract. When Josh Allen is on the move, the middle of the field opens up.

9
Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

Brian Fluharty-USA TODAY Sports

2021 Fantasy PPG: 7.1 (8th)

2021 Stats: 603 rec yds, 9 td in 16 games

Henry separated himself from New England’s other pass catchers as Mac Jones’ go-to receiver for touchdowns.

10
Dallas Goedert, Philadelphia Eagles

AP Photo/Terrance Williams

2021 Fantasy PPG: 7.3 (7th)

2021 Stats: 830 rec yds, 4 td in 15 games

A.J. Brown hurts Goedert’s value a little as a big target Jalen Hurts is comfortable throwing to in traffic.
