2021 Super Bowl Halftime Show performers

Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, will host one of the biggest concerts of the year on Sunday night midway through Super Bowl LV. More than 100 million viewers are expected to tune in to see The Weeknd headline the 2021 Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show.

The halftime show in 2021 is going to have a very different feel. There will still be a reduced, socially distanced crowd in attendance for Super Bowl LV, but instead the usual scene of a mass of people surrounding an island stage on the field, The Weeknd teased in a press conference that he’ll be performing on a special stage incorporated into the stadium stands.

“Due to COVID and for the safety of the players and the workers we kind of built the stage within the stadium and we’re also using the field as well but we wanted to kind of do something that we’ve never done before.”

The Weeknd also said that fans shouldn’t expect any special guest performers during the halftime show.  Last year’s halftime show was co-headlined by Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, and also featured guest appearances by Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Emme Muñiz.

Super Bowl LV will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS this Sunday. You can expect the halftime show to begin some time between 8:00 and 8:30 p.m. ET.
