Renan Ferreira continues to prove he’s a real problem for the heavyweights in PFL.
Closing out the prelims of 2021 PFL Playoffs 2, Ferreira (8-2 MMA, 2-0 PFL) took on Stuart Austin in a showcase heavyweight bout.
Ferreira wasted little time taking care of business as he knocked out Austin (15-7 MMA,0-1 PFL) with a hard right hand just 31 seconds into the first round.

Despite his impressive performances this season, Ferreira did not qualify for the playoffs, largely due to his controversial no contest against Fabricio Werdum, which left him a short of the points required to enter the next stage of the season.
In June, Ferreira defeated Carl Seumanutafa via unanimous decision and followed up that performance with an emphatic knockout victory. He closes out his 2021 PFL run with an impressive performance, and will likely enter next season as a favorite to make a strong playoff run.
