As the 2021 NBA draft is just hours away, both the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans are looking to bolster their roster with young assets to continue their pursuits to contend as a playoff team come 2021-22.
Heading into draft day, the Hornets hold the No. 11, No. 56, and No. 57 picks. The Pelicans hold the No. 17, No. 35, No. 40, and No. 43 picks in tonight’s draft.
This morning, the Pelicans traded the No. 53 pick to the 76ers for cash considerations following swapping the No. 10 pick along with Eric Bledsoe and Steven Adams to the Grizzlies for the Jonas Valanciunas and the No. 17 pick on Monday.
