Champions Shamrock Rovers face a mouth-watering clash to kick off the season at Tallaght Stadium after the SSE Airtricity League fixtures were announced this evening.
Stephen Bradley's men host Dublin rivals St Pat's in their opener, while there are some more exciting clashes for fans to look forward to in March.
Elsewhere, FAI Cup holders Dundalk will travel to Sligo Rovers, Finn Harps will host Bohemians and newly-promoted sides Drogheda United and Longford Town host Waterford and Derry City respectively.
The mid-season break will take place between May 28/29 and June 11/12.
There will be no EA Sports Cup this season, and the FAI Cup will get underway on July 25 - with the final set for November 28.
The fixtures for the SSE Airtricity League First Division and the SSE Airtricity Women's National League will be released on Monday, February 8.

It comes as an initial support package of €3.6 million has been proposed today to get the season up and running.
And under the FAI proposals, Premier Division clubs will each receive a minimum of €215,000 to get the top flight campaign underway.
First Division clubs will pocket a minimum of €50,000 each with a sliding scale then in operation across both divisions to reflect reduced revenues on a club-by-club basis.
