In a sport rich with holiday tournaments, the Battle 4 Atlantis has become one of the headliners of Feast Week over the past decade. The tournament debuted during the 2011-2012 college basketball season and returns for its 10th season after last year’s event was canceled due to COVID-19. Two of the last three Battle 4 Atlantis champions (Villanova 2017, Virginia 2018) went on to win the NCAA National Championship that same season.
Last season’s champs, the Baylor Bears, will be one of the eight teams participating in the 2021 tournament in the Bahamas, while Arizona State, VCU, Auburn, Syracuse, UConn, Loyola and Michigan State round out the field.
