2020 UGA QB commit poses in two jerseys, asks Twitter which number he should wear

Georgia currently possesses the nation’s 15th ranked recruiting class in the 2020 cycle, with one of its featured commits being quarterback Carson Beck.

Beck, a 4-star pro-style quarterback out Jacksonville, Florida, committed to Georgia in March of this year. The former Alabama commit, standing at 6’4″, ranks as the nation’s 60th overall player, third pro-style quarterback and seventh in the state of Florida.

Though he is barely one month removed from committing to Georgia, the 247Sports Crystal Ball overwhelmingly predicts Beck to wind up at Florida, with 86% of the experts predicting the Gators.

But based on a recent tweet sent out by Beck, he appears to be all-dawg at the moment. On Monday, following a weekend in Athens, he tweeted to his followers, asking them which number they think he should wear at Georgia – 11 or 18?

The tweet received 224 replies and from what I can tell (I did not read all 224), the fans are mostly saying No. 11.

As many pointed out, No. 11 has been good to Bulldog quarterbacks recently.

Aaron Murray wore No. 11 as he raced his way up the SEC record books. Greyson Lambert wore it as he …. ok, never mind. And Jake Fromm currently dons the number, and all he’s done in his first two seasons is take Georgia to a national title game and two SEC Championships, winning one of them.

Beck plans to visit Georgia again this coming weekend for G-Day. With Fromm being eligible to turn pro after this coming season, Beck could possibly be competing for a starting role as early as year one.

Beck was named 2018 Florida Mr. Football and led Mandarin High School to a state championship.
