During his end of the season press conference, Howie Roseman classified certain aspects of this season as “disappointing”, while making it clear that there would be multiple changes and the Birds would get drastically younger.
One source of concern for Eagles brass is the athleticism and age of the Birds wide receiving corps.
The Eagles could choose to move on from multiple players and have a glaring need to add youth via the NFL Draft.
With free agency set to begin on March 18, here are seven free-agent receiver targets for the Birds:
***

1. Amari Cooper
Cooper is one of the biggest pending free agents in the NFL this offseason and a guy that will likely be off the Eagles radar because of his salary demands. Cooper (6-1, 210) is one of the best receivers in the league and would definitely give Carson Wentz the reliable every-down weapon he needs. With his average salary expected to be in the $20 million per season, Cooper can only be a dream for the Eagles at the moment.

2. Robby Anderson
Anderson (6-3, 190) has spent the bulk of the offseason having visions of 11/11.
A former Temple football standout, Anderson be a highly coveted free agent after catching 52 passes for 779 yards and five touchdowns with a 15.0 yards per catch average.
3. Breshad Perriman
A more affordable option, the (6-2, 215) Perriman finally broke out of his bust label after being a first-round pick. Playing for an injury-ravaged Buccaneers team, Perriman had his best NFL season, catching 36 passes for 645 yards (17.9) and six touchdowns after bouncing around on three different teams over the past few years.
A home run threat, Perriman was drafted by the Ravens in 2016 when Eagles VP of player personnel Andy Weidl was a regional scout with Baltimore.

4. Demarcus Robinson
Not even technically listed as a starter, Robinson made himself millions after he racked up a career-high 32 catches for 449 yards and four touchdowns during a dynamic 2019 regular season with Patrick Mahomes. With Mecole Hardman emerging, Robinson could be a target for the Eagles in free agency.

5. Geronimo Allison
Allison returned to Green Bay on a one-year prove-it deal, and it simply didn’t work out from a statistical perspective. Allison finished sixth on the team in receptions (34) and he had four drops, according to ESPN Stats & Information. A change of location could do wonders for the big, and talented wideout.

6. Phillip Dorsett
Dorsett is the Patriots lone contributor set to hit free agency, and that could bold well for his pockets. The Patriots re-signed Dorsett to a one-year deal last offseason, hoping for an improvement on a solid 2018 campaign.
Pressed into the role of sometimes starter, Dorsett lost reps and could look for a change next season.

7. Devin Funchess
The Colts brought in Devin Funchess via free agency, but his time on the field was short-lived due to a season-ending injury.
Funchess’ season was cut short in the fourth quarter of the Week 1 opener against the Chargers. He suffered a broken collarbone and was placed on the injured reserve list.
Funchess best season came in 2017 when he caught 63 passes for 840 yards and eight touchdowns
