2020 NFL Draft: Week 10 college prospects to watch

While everyone is focusing on Baker Mayfield’s press conference debacle, the real grinders are preparing for the upcoming weekend of glorious college games and daydreaming about all of the options the Cleveland Browns might have during the next draft. We have a huge slate of games starting on Thursday and ending on Sunday morning and below is one prospect to follow for each day of action.

West Virginia at Baylor

Thursday, 8:00 PM

Denzel Mims, WR, Baylor, 6-3, 210 pounds, Sr.

Mims has been extremely productive throughout his Baylor career and has the size and speed to entice scouts. If you need more evidence of his dominance, I suggest watching him against Texas Tech a few weeks ago as he made yet another jaw-dropping catch. Mims is a bit overshadowed in the Big 12 and could be available in the middle rounds and adding another large target for Baker is never a bad idea.

Navy at Connecticut

Friday, 8:00 PM

Ford Higgins, C, Navy, 6-2, 260 pounds, Sr.

A typical issue with academy prospects is their lack of size, but Higgins does have the frame to pack on more weight. It is unlikely Higgins gets selected early, but it is never a bad idea to select a disciplined and intelligent prospect to play the pivot. Higgins also has clear leadership qualities considering he is a captain. Plus I — like many other Browns fans — love a man in a uniform.

Utah at Washington

Saturday, 4:00 PM

Trey Adams, OT, Washington, 6-8, 306 pounds, Sr.

Arguably the best offensive tackle in the class, Adams is going to be in first-round conversations and likely would have been last year had he not suffered a season-ending injury that practically forced him to return another season. Adams is one of my favorite prospects in this class and the only thing he needs to prove is that he is completely healthy again after his back surgery and so far so good in 2019.

Fresno State at Hawaii

Sunday, 12:00 AM

Mykal Walker, OLB, Fresno State, 6-3, 227 pounds, Sr.

Walker is an insane versatile piece that the Bulldogs have moved all over their defense since his arrival. Since arriving in Fresno, Walker has spent time at defensive end, middle linebacker and outside linebacker. Despite his lack of ideal size, Walker has the potential to add more weight and translates to an extremely intriguing outside backer in the NFL. He should have been the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year last season and is making a strong case for this season.
