2020 NFL Draft: Titans select S Chris Jackson with 243rd pick

With the 243rd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans have selected Marshall safety Chris Jackson.

Jackson spent four years at Marshall, playing in 47 career games and finishing with 189 total tackles (6.5 for loss), seven interceptions, 45 passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.

In 2019, the 6-foot, 186-pound safety totaled 25 tackles, one pick and 11 passes defensed in 10 games.

Tennessee is obviously already very deep at safety with Kevin Byard, Kenny Vaccaro and Amani Hooker on the roster, so Jackson is going to have an uphill climb trying to make the roster. That is usually the case with seventh-round picks anyway.

This was the last of the Titans’ picks in this year’s draft. Originally, Tennessee had three total selections in the seventh round, but general manager Jon Robinson ended up trading one of them to the Chiefs. With their first pick in the seventh round, the Titans took Hawaii quarterback, Cole McDonald.
