The 49ers were never slated to pick on Day 2 of the NFL draft. They sent their second-round pick to the Chiefs for Dee Ford last offseason, and their Round 3 choice was in the deal that got the 49ers Emmanuel Sanders. That didn’t change after the first round. They enter Day 2 without a pick, but it’s not out of the realm of possibilities that they use either next year’s draft capital or a player or two to get into the second day this year.
