2020 NFL draft order: Broncos on pace for top-10 selection

If the season ended today, the Denver Broncos (2-6) would be scheduled to select seventh overall in the 2020 NFL draft. Here’s a look at the current order of the top-10 picks, courtesy of NFL.com:

  1. Miami Dolphins (0-7)
  2. Cincinnati Bengals (0-8)
  3. Washington Redskins (1-7)
  4. Atlanta Falcons (1-7)
  5. New York Jets (1-6)
  6. New York Giants (2-6)
  7. Denver Broncos (2-6)
  8. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5)
  9. Cleveland Browns (2-5)
  10. Los Angeles Chargers (3-5)

The Broncos’ list of draft needs in next year’s draft will likely include offensive linemen, defensive linemen and defensive backs. Depending on how the team feels about Drew Lock, Denver may also be in the market for a quarterback next April.

Oddsmakers believe Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is the favorite to be selected No. 1 overall next year. Other notable QBs in next year’s class include Oregon’s Justin Herbert, Georgia’s Jake Fromm and LSU’s Joe Burrow.

Denver selected Lock in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft.

Next year’s draft will take place in Las Vegas from April 23-25.
