When it comes to the NFL draft, everyone knows the big names. But NFL teams understand the importance of digging deeper. Finding those mid to late-round guys who can come in and exceed expectations. Our friends over at Draft Wire put together a list of some of the best underrated prospects in the 2020 NFL draft and we found four who would be perfect for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
RB | Darrynton Evans | App. State
The Steelers have more than one downhill back on the roster but lack a dynamic playmaker who can turn any carry into a big play. Evans has all the skills to be a three-back player but as a change-of-pace to James Conner or Benny Snell would be a real weapon.
WR | John Hightower | Boise State

There’s a trend here with these underrated offensive players. Like Evans, Hightower brings speed and playmaking to the offense and would get a surge to a group that was downright sluggish last season.
S | Khaleke Hudson | Michigan

The current meta of the NFL is to have as many big, fast defenders as possible on the second and third level. Hybrid players can be invaluable to a defense like the Steelers who use a ton of nickel and dime. Hudson is a great blend of linebacker and safety that would give Pittsburgh another athletic presence.
LB | Mykal Walker | Fresno State

Similar to Hudson, Walker is a linebacker/safety tweener with the physicality to hold up in the run game but athletic enough to blitz or drop into coverage. With Mark Barron gone, Walker could be a similar kind of presence.
