The 2020 NFL Scouting Combine kicked off on Monday, but the most important part of the week – the workouts – begins tonight in prime time.
Eagles executive vice president/general manager Howie Roseman and his staff are projected to have 10 picks to work with during the NFL draft and with the goal being to retool and get younger, Philadelphia is set to infuse youth and talent.
With the deepest wide receiver class in draft history all in Indianapolis, here are 7 different wideouts for the Birds to watch at the Combine.
***

1. Chase Claypool, Notre Dame
A stud at Notre Dame, Claypool finished his final season in South Bend with 66 receptions for 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns. At 6-4 and 238 pounds, Claypool will give Eagles fans Deja Vu about JJ Arcega-Whiteside, but Claypool is a big-bodied wide receiver who can create space, win the jump ball and could transition to tight end as well.
He can get better at route running and there are the questions about his speed, quickness, and ability to separate from NFL cornerbacks.

2.Denzel Mims | WR | Baylor
The Texas native has the size, speed, and range for a wide receiver and will only get better as he progresses as a pro.
Mims creates instant separation with great hands, something that was missing out of the Eagles receivers last season. Mims makes contested catches and does a good job of tracking the ball.

3. K.J. Hill | WR | Ohio State
Hill put on a route-running clinic at the Senior Bowl and after the rookie season Terry McLaurin had for the Redskins, don’t expect scouts and evaluators to underrate this Buckeyes star.

4. Michael Pittman Jr., receiver, USC
At 6-foot-3, 219-pound Michael Pittman Jr. is an intriguing prospect, who knows the NFL game because of his father and just starting to flash the enormous potential that has some scouts gushing.

5. Jalen Reagor
Reagor has been mentioned in NFL draft circles as a playmaker who could bring a much-needed boost to the Eagles deep passing game.
A 5-foot-11 dynamo, Reagor has the speed to stretch NFL defenses and could give the Eagles an option in the passing game that they’ve lacked since DeSean Jackson was drafted.
Reagor is one of the better kick and punt returning options in the draft as well.

6. Brandon Aiyuk
rising up draft boards on a daily basis and could see another huge rise if he performs well at the combine.
Aiyuk is silky smooth and has the potential to become a YAC monster in the NFL.

7. Laviska Shenault Jr.
Shenault is a dynamic playmaker who can score from anywhere on the field and in a variety of different ways as well.
Shenault Jr. has elite skills as a runner and receiver and could become a matchup nightmare for Wentz and the Eagles.
