The Sweet Sixteen is in the books of our NCAA Tournament simulation and in the South Region we were provided with two well known basketball names but their seeding does not reflect that this year. Arizona is a No. 7 seed and they are taking on No. 5 Ohio State. The winner moves onto the Final Four in Atlanta for this simulation.
As a reminder, we are simulating these games over at What If Sports and are doing just like the NCAA Tournament, one loss and you’re out.
Final Score: No. 7 Arizona 108, No. 5 Ohio State 98
What a game! Arizona and Ohio State could not miss all afternoon in this game but Arizona missed less. The Wildcats had one of the best performances by shooting for 62.3 percent from the field compared to the Buckeyes who shot a very respectable 50 percent.
Both teams also shot 50 percent from three-point range with Arizona going 10 of 20 and Ohio State 14 of 28, but that amount from the Buckeyes was great but not enough.
