The first round of our would-be 2020 NCAA Tournament Bracket delivered absolute chaos. The No. 1 seed in the South Region, Baylor, fell to No. 16 Robert Morris in a stunner, and that quadrant of the bracket is now wide open, with five upsets in the South alone.
No. 12 seeds always seem to perform well in the NCAA tournament, and three of our 12 seeds pulled off upsets in the first round. In arguably the least surprising upset of the first round, No. 3 Duke fell to No. 14 Boston U. (It is a fan vote, after all, and plenty of people hate Duke.)
Second round voting will be open all weekend long, and polls will close at 10:00 a.m. ET on Monday, March 30th.
