For whatever your game needs, equipment designers have been busy tweaking existing lines for better performance and often introducing entirely new clubs.
Wedges have adjusted centers of gravity to zero in on specific trajectories with extra spin. Check out some of the wedges that have been introduced for this season.

Callaway Jaws MD5
Price: $159.99
This wedge is cast from 8620 mild-carbon steel for a soft feel, and Callaway said the grooves are the most aggressive in the game. They are more V-shaped to grab the cover of the ball for greater spin on chips, pitches and approach shots.

Cleveland CBX Full-Face
Price: $149.99
The CBX Full-Face wedge was designed with a high-toe shape, so when golfers open the face on shots hit around the green, there is more hitting area presented to the ball. It’s a confidence-inspiring look that has gained popularity on the PGA Tour.
PXG 0311 Milled Sugar Daddy
Price: $650
Available in chrome or black finish, each club starts as a solid block of 8620 carbon steel before it is shaped by a high-speed milling device. The grooves also are milled into the hitting surface. PXG said they are as large and sharp as the USGA and R&A rules allow.

TaylorMade Milled Grind 2
Price: $169.99
Where the MG2 wedges differ most from the previous version is on the hitting area. The faces were given a raw steel design, meaning there is no chrome plating. TaylorMade said that by eliminating the plating, the grooves can be made deeper and with sharper edges to help golfers generate more spin and control.

Titleist Vokey Design SM8
Price: $159
Titleist’s new Vokey Design SM8 wedges have a center of gravity that not only goes up and down based on the club’s loft, it also shifts forward to help players square the face more efficiently and increase the moment of inertia.
