The Chicago Bears unveiled their 2020 schedule last week, where we learned exactly when they’ll face their 2020 opponents. While the beginning of the season looks favorable, Chicago faces a difficult stretch in the final nine games.
When looking at the fourth quarter of the Bears’ 2020 schedule, it’s arguably their most difficult stretch, as they’ll play three of their final four games against playoff teams from a year ago in the Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers.
Let’s take a look at the Bears’ fourth-quarter games of the 2020 season, including way-too-early game predictions.
Week 14 | Bears vs. Texans

The Bears will kick-off the final quarter of the season against a team that they haven’t been able to beat in four meetings, the Houston Texans. And they’ll have to face another quarterback they passed up in the 2017 NFL Draft in Deshaun Watson, who has a chip on his shoulders knowing the Bears never showed interest in him. Watson aside, the Bears will have to contend with the Texans defense, who has some playmakers like JJ Watt that will challenge their offense. If the Bears happen to be in the playoff race this late in the season, this is one of those games that they need to win.
Prediction: Texans, 24-17

Week 15 | Bears at Vikings

While the Bears have managed to sweep the Vikings over the last two seasons, Minnesota isn’t an easy win. In these divisional contests — especially ones that could have playoff implications — you never know how they’ll shake out. While the Bears have proven to have the Vikings’ number, it’s always difficult to go into Minnesota and pull out a win. Considering that the NFC North title could be up for grabs in the final weeks of the regular season, this could wind up being an important game for one or both of these teams, which makes it all the more important.
Prediction: Vikings 17-13

Week 16 | Bears at Jaguars

Amid a difficult final stretch of the season, the Bears will face a Jacksonville Jaguars team that many don’t expect much from in 2020. But the Bears have found themselves on the wrong side of some of those games, including the Giants in 2018. Welcome to the (potential) Nick Foles revenge game, where he’ll (potentially) face his old team in Jacksonville. This is a very winnable game for the Bears. And, if they are in the playoff hunt, it’s an absolute must-win.
Prediction: Bears 28-14

Week 17 | Bears vs. Packers

Regardless of whether the Bears are in the postseason hunt in the final week oft the 2020 season, this season finale against the Packers remains a significant game. If Chicago is in the playoff race — or contending for the NFC North — this is an absolute must-win. But even if they aren’t — whether it’s because they’ve been eliminated or already locked up a playoff spot — beating the Packers is always top priority for the Bears. And, if you recall, the Bears put the Packers away when they needed to at Soldier Field in 2018.
Prediction: Bears 24-20
