Nottingham Forest will take on Watford and Bournemouth next season as equals after the pair were relegated on a dramatic Premier League final day that saw Aston Villa narrowly survive.
The pair will follow Norwich City into the Championship with Coventry City, Rotherham Untied and Wycombe Wanderers entering from League One.
There is still one final spot to be decided in the second division with Swansea City, Cardiff, Brentford and Fulham set to do battle in the play-offs over the coming weeks.
But only one will win promotion to the top flight with the other missing out.
