2019 Women's World Cup draw: England face Scotland, Japan and Argentina

England will begin their campaign at the 2019 Fifa Women's World Cup with a clash against Scotland.

Phil Neville's side have been drawn in Group D for the tournament, which takes place in France next summer.

Also in the group are Japan, who knocked England out at the semi-final stage in 2015 before losing to the US in the final, and Argentina.

England qualified for the tournament unbeaten, topping a qualifying group that included another home nations side in Wales.

World Cup winning manager Didier Deschamps conducted the draw

Hosts France were placed in Group A along with Norway, Nigeria and South Korea while defending champions the United States will take on Sweden, Thailand and Chile in Group F.

Draw in full:

Group A: France, South Korea, Norway, Nigeria

Group B: Germany, China, Spain, South Africa

Group C: Australia, Italy, Brazil, Jamaica

Group D: England, Scotland, Argentina, Japan

Group E: Canada, Cameroon, New Zealand, Netherlands

Group F: United States, Thailand, Chile, Sweden
