Dustin Johnson emerged as the leader entering the third round of the WGC-Mexico Championship. He finished Friday play at 11-under par overall and holds a two-shot lead over first-round leader Rory McIlroy and Matt Kuchar at Club De Golf Chapultepec.
Johnson is bogey-free through 36 holes and followed his 64 in Round 1 with a 67 on Friday. He is 18 holes away from his sixth WGC title and 20th PGA Tour victory. McIlroy and Johnson will be paired together Saturday in the event that does not have a cut.
