Going into the project of predicting the starters on defense for the Pittsburgh Steelers, I had to take into account the variety of formations Pittsburgh uses. In fact, last season the Steelers were only in their 3-4 base defense around 30 percent of the time. So we had to take that into consideration and talk about who comes onto the field in the nickel as well as the dime.
