2019 NFL top 25 cash/salary player rankings

Lots of dough to be made in the NFL. And the players earn it the hard way. Looking at the top 25 players by top salaries. Figured in are cash, earnings, and bonuses, for 2019, thanks to Spotrac.

25. C.J. Mosley: $19,000,000

C.J. Mosley comes to the  Jets from the Baltimore Ravens via free agency. In 2019, Mosley will earn a base salary of $1M. Most of his earnings come from a signing bonus of $7.5M and a roster bonus of $10.5M.

24. Mitch Morse ($19,187,500)

The Buffalo Bills brought an anchor to the middle of their offensive line when they sold center Mitch Morse as a free agent from Kansas City. Morse will earn a base salary of $4.4M in 2019, a signing bonus of $11M, a roster bonus of $3,6875M and a workout bonus of $100K.

23. Matthew Stafford ($19,500,000)

The Detroit Lions are paying Matthew Stafford huge bucks and need the quarterback to start to deliver more wins and, hopefully, playoff success. In 2019, the former Georgia star will earn Stafford will earn a base salary of $13,5M, a roster bonus of $5.5M and a workout bonus of $500K.

22. Devin White ($19,835,592)

The fifth overall pick the NFL Draft, Devin White’s four-year rookie contract with the Bucs is valued at almost $30M. He will earn a base salary of $495,000 in 2019 and has a signing bonus of $19,340,592.

20. Derek Carr ($20,000,000)

There is some nice synergy as Derek Carr comes in as the 20th player in salary for 2019, actually tied with Mike Evans, at $20M. Carr will earn a base salary of $19,900,000 and a workout bonus of $100,000. Jon Gruden & the Raiders are counting on the QB to deliver some more success.

20. Mike Evans ($20,000,000)

Tampa Bay wideout Mike Evans is one of the best in the game. He just needs more stability at quarterback. As part of his five-year contract, the former Texas A&M star will earn a base salary of $13M, a roster bonus of $3M and a restructure bonus of $4M in 2019. Expect Bruce Arians to have the Bucs make extensive use of Evans.

19. Andrew Williams ($20,497,000)

One of the more unfamiliar names on the list is the Jaguars’ Andrew Williams. The former Auburn star is playing on a three-year contract. He will earn a base salary of $495K and received a signing bonus of $20,002,000 for 2019.

17. Jameis Winston ($20,992,000)

The two players tied at 17th were selected first and second in the 2015 NFL Draft. Jameis Winston went first overall. He has not delivered the way the Bucs have hoped as of yet. The coaching switch to Bruce Arians should be a positive for the former Florida State star. As part of a four-year contract, Winston will earn a base salary of $20.922M in 2019.

17. Marcus Mariota ($20,922,000)

Marcus Mariota went to the Titans second overall in 2015 out of Oregon. Like Jameis Winston, he will earn a base salary of $20.922M in 2019.

16. Dee Ford ($21,000,000)

Dee Ford is another player on the list who left Kansas City. He was traded to SF in March. Ford will earn a base salary of $4.75M in 2019, a signing bonus of $8M, a roster bonus of $7.75M and a incentive bonus of $500K.

15. Andrew Luck

Andrew Luck will earn will earn a base salary of $9.125M and a roster bonus of $12M in 2019 as part of a five-year, $122.970M contract.

14. Clelin Ferrell

The Raiders drafted Clelin Ferrell out of Clemson and he signed a four-year, $31M contract that will  pay him a base salary of $495K and a signing bonus of $20.827.864M in 2019,

13. Earl Thomas ($22,000,000)

Earl Thomas is finally out of Seattle and is settled in Baltimore. The premier DB will will earn a base salary of $2M and a signing bonus of $20M in 2019.

12. Za’Darius Thomas ($22,250,000)

Za’Darius Thomas will make Smith a base salary of $1M, a signing bonus of $20M, a roster bonus of $500K and a workout bonus of $750K as part of a four-year, $66M contract he signed with the Packers.

11. Drew Brees ($23,000,000)

The New Orleans Saints’ super Drew Brees will earn a base salary of $1.4M and a restructure bonus of $21.6M in 2019.

10. Kyler Murray

The No. 1 overall pick out of Oklahoma, Kyler Murray chose to re-pay the Oakland Athletics the money they gave him as a top 10 pick in 2018. Murray wound up as an Arizona Cardinal and has a four-year contract. This season, he will will earn a base salary of $495K and a signing bonus of $23.589.924M.

9. Grady Jarrett ($24,500,000)

The Atlanta Falcons recently came to terms with defensive line standout Grady Jarrett on a mega-deal worth $68M over four years. In the first year, Jarrett will earn a base salary of $6.5M and a signing bonus of $18M.

8. Brandin Cooks ($27,459,000)

After going from New Orleans to New England, Brandin Cooks has found a home with the Los Angeles Rams. The wide receiver will earn a base salary of $1M, a roster bonus of $9.459M and a signing bonus of $17M as part of his five-year contract.

7. Kirk Cousins ($28,000,000)

Kirk Cousins is hoping Year Two in Minnesota shows an uptick from his first season as a Viking. The quarterback will earn a base of  $27.5M and a workout bonus of $500K.

6. Trey Flowers ($28,875,000)

Trey Flowers reaped the benefits of free agency and having his former defensive coach in New England, Matt Patricia, as the head coach in Detroit. A fourth-round pick out of Arkansas, Flowers will earn a base salary of $805K and a signing bonus of $28.070M this year as part of his five-year, $90M contract.

5. Nick Foles ($30,750,000)

The Jacksonville Jaguars landed a Super Bowl-winning quarterback in Nick Foles. The overall price was four years and $88M. This season,  Foles will earn a base salary of $5M, a signing bonus of $25M, a roster bonus of $500K and a workout bonus of $250K.

4. DeMarcus Lawrence ($31,100,000)

The Dallas Cowboys’ DeMarcus Lawrence is fourth on the list for 2019. Lawrence will earn a base salary of $1.5M, a signing bonus of $25M and a roster bonus of $4.6M this season.

3. Russell Wilson

The top of the list is a trifecta of quarterbacks. Coming in the third slot is Russell Wilson, who in 2019 comes in at $5M in salary, $19.2M in signing bonus and $2.086.668 for a restructure.

2. Matt Ryan ($44,750,000)

The Atlanta Falcons hope to have a bounce-back season. They can’t blame Matt Ryan for a couple off-years. The quarterback has been sensational. earning his keep. In 2019, he will earn will earn a base salary of $2.75M, a signing bonus of $23.25M, a signing bonus of $10M and a restructure bonus of $8.75M.

1. Ben Roethlisberger ($45,000,000)

The top of the charts for 2019 goes to Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who will earn a base salary of $2.5M, a signing bonus of $37.5M and a roster bonus of $5M.
