London’s calling. As is the 2019 NFL Schedule release.
With the 2019 NFL schedule slated for release tonight, the NFL kicked things off with the announcement of its international slate, and it’s been confirmed that the Chicago Bears will play the Oakland Raiders in Week 5.
The game will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. ET/Noon CT at the new Tottenham Stadium in London. It will be the first NFL game played at the newly constructed stadium.
This is certainly a game with a storyline worthy of an international audience, as it marks Khalil Mack’s first game against his former Raiders team. This Week 5 match-up is also a good indication that the Bears’ bye week will come in Week 6.
Here’s how the Bears’ schedule looks as of now:
- Week 1 – vs. Green Bay (Thursday, Sept. 5)
- Week 5 – at Oakland, in London (Sunday, Oct. 6)
- Week 11 – at Detroit (Thursday, Nov. 28)
The Bears will host games against the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers and New Orleans Saints. They’ll travel to face the Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and Los Angeles Rams, as well as home and away games against their division rivals.
