Football fans rejoice, the NFL preseason is over! Now, the NFL rosters are set as teams finalize their cuts. Across the league, a number of MSU alum were either cut or held onto by teams. Notable draft picks Khari Willis and Justin Layne signed deals with the Colts and Steelers, respectively, so they are all set.
In Los Angeles, Matt Sokol finds himself on the practice squad. Per Daniel Popper, the Chargers decided to keep Sokol around. He originally signed as an undrafted free agent in May of this year.
The Chiefs cut WR Felton Davis III with an injury designation, but he has now reverted back to their Injured Reserve list, so he’s still on the team. Davis suffered a shoulder injury near the end of August. It’s disappointing that we won’t get to see him anytime soon but it’s good news that he’s still on a team.
In other news, Brian Hoyer just signed with the Indianapolis Colts.
