2019 NFL Free Agency: Randall Cobb presents option for Titans at WR

The Tennessee Titans may no longer be among the teams looking to strike a deal for Antonio Brown, but they’re still very much in the market for an established playmaker at wide receiver.

As the mid-March free agency period looms, wideout Randall Cobb is a player worth inquiring about.

While Cobb has failed to leave a lasting impression since 2014 in Green Bay, Cobb still has potential to do well in an offensive scheme that fits him.

And if the Titans do plan to move forward with a focus on continuity under Arthur Smith, Cobb could be effective in Nashville. He performs well in space, and in places where getting the ball out quickly is a priority.

In 2018, Cobb reeled in 38 receptions for 383 yards and two touchdowns. On an eight-season career, the veteran has recorded 470 receptions for 5,524 and 41 touchdowns.

It will be interesting to see if general manager Jon Robinson and the Titans are willing to take a risk on a receiver who hasn’t been especially productive in recent seasons.

But there’s no doubt the Titans will have a new pass-catcher on the roster some time after free agency kicks off.
