With $40 million in cap space, the Titans are expected to sign players that can give the team an instant boost without overpaying for them.
Given the performances of certain players during the 2018 season and the voids left why others, the Titans are expected to be in the market primarily at the wide receiver, edge rusher and possibly quarterback positions.
Here’s a brief look into four players the Titans may look into signing:
1. Golden Tate

The Titans need an established playmaker at wide receiver, and can avoid the potential drama Antonio Brown could bring all together by adding a receiver like Golden Tate.
Despite his age of 31, Tate has proven he still has what it takes to be a reliable and quick mostly out of the slot.
Between the Detroit Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles, Tate reeled in 74 receptions for 795 yards and four touchdowns.
2. Nick Foles

After Blaine Gabbert’s blunders at backup quarterback and starter Marcus Mariota frequently finding himself on the bench due to injuries, the Titans are in the market for a reliable signal-caller who can get the job done.
While he won’t come cheap, Nick Foles may be worth the investment.
Last season in Philadelphia, Foles hardly had any trouble in the absence of Carson Wentz, completing 141-of-195 passes for 1,413 yards with seven touchdowns and four interceptions.
3. Tyrell Williams

While Tate is probably the more appealing option, Tyrell Williams could provide competent option in a wide receiver market that lacks depth. He presents a deep threat, and could become another deep target for Mariota outside of what an up-and-coming Corey Davis provides.
In 2018, Williams recorded 41 receptions for 653 yards with five touchdowns. Williams also averages over 16 yards per catch on his career, proving he could immediately make an impact in moving the chains on offense.
4. Trey Flowers

The Titans need help on the edge, and pass rusher Trey Flowers could give the team just that.
While his numbers don’t exactly leap off the stats sheet, Flowers’ pressure numbers do deserve recognition. He tied 10th among all edge rushers last year with 64 pressures according to Pro Football Focus.
Last season, Flowers saw action in 15 games, totaling 57 combined tackles, 7.5 sacks and two passes defensed. On his career, he totals 164 combined tackles, 21 sacks and six passes defensed over 46 games.
