2019 NFL Draft: Titans worked out Sam Houston OLB Derick Roberson

As the 2019 NFL Draft quickly approaches, the Tennessee Titans are taking advantage of their last opportunities to take a look at college football prospects before making their selections next month.

While general manager Jon Robinson did make some smart acquisitions during the first wave of free agency, the team could still use another key edge rusher.

One potential candidate for the position could be Sam Houston edge rusher Derick Roberson.

Per a report by Aaron Wilson, The Titans worked out Roberson earlier in the week. Both Robinson and head coach Mike Vrabel were present for the event.

In 2018, the 6-foot-3, 219-pounder totaled 68 tackles, 15 sacks, five forced fumbles and two passes defensed. His 15 sacks led the FCS last season and tied the Sam Houston State single season record.

On a three-year college career, Roberson tallied 123 tackles, 23 sacks, eight passes defensed, seven forced fumbles.

Expect Roberson to be a potential day two pick in April for the Titans or another NFL team that needs a boost on the edge.
