2019 NFL Draft: Titans reportedly meeting with Gamecocks WR Deebo Samuel

Now that the first big wave of free agency is over, the 2019 NFL Draft is the next big chance for teams to improve their rosters ahead of the upcoming season.

The Tennessee Titans are taking advantage of this time period to get to know prospects even better after the combine. The Titans have attended college pro days, and still have a list of other schools to visit.

Tennessee can also have up to 30 prospects come to them and visit St. Thomas Sports Park.

According to an NFL.com report, the Titans are set to meet with South Carolina wide receiver Deebo Samuel.

While the Gamecocks host their pro day on Thursday, it is unclear as to whether the Titans will meet with him there, or have him make the trip into Nashville.

The 6-foot, 210-pounder was a big force over 12 games, reeling in 62 receptions for 822 yards and 11 touchdowns.

On his college career, Samuel totaled 148 receptions for 2,076 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was also functional in the run game, recording 25 carries for 154 yards and seven touchdowns.

Samuel saw action on 42 kickoff returns for 1,219 yards and four touchdowns as well.

If the Titans are willing to spend a first-round pick on a wideout that provides a threat both in the air and on the ground, Samuel certainly presents a smart option.
