2019 NFL Draft: The latest Jets-related buzz, news and notes

With the start of the draft just hours away, the rumor mill is starting to heat up.

Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray looks like he’ll go off the board to the Arizona Cardinals at No. 1, but there’s a chance Arizona passes on Murray and drafts a defensive player if that happens. Arizona’s decision will send ripples throughout the draft and the Jets will be one of the teams impacted by what the Cardinals decide to do.

As the first round rapidly approaches, here’s the latest buzz that would be of interest to the Jets and their fans:

  • The market for the No. 3 overall pick is beginning to heat up, as the Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders are reportedly in talks with the Jets to move up. The belief is that Buffalo would be interested in landing Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. It remains to be seen who Oakland would target with the pick.
