2019 NFL draft: Steelers trade up in first round, select LB Devin Bush

If you have been one to criticize the conservative approach the Pittsburgh Steelers take in the NFL draft, tonight is your night. The Steelers have made a big move in the first round, trading up with the Denver Broncos to No. 10 from No. 20. With the pick, they selected Michigan linebacker Devin Bush.

Bush gives the Steelers the impact player on defense they have been looking for since Ryan Shazier was injured in 2017. He is a true sideline-to-sideline inside linebacker with the speed to cover backs and tight ends and plays with an elite level of physicality and intensity.

Terms of the trade were steep. Pittsburgh traded the 20th and 52nd overall pick this year, in addition to a 2020 third-rounder, to move up and take Bush.
