The Redskins selected Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins with the No. 15 overall selection of the 2019 NFL draft.
Alex Smith’s status remains up in the air after he suffered a severe right leg injury last November and underwent multiple surgeries. Washington acquired Case Keenum from the Broncos to compete with Colt McCoy, but neither one is signed past the 2019 season.
Haskins set Big Ten records with 4,381 passing yards and 50 touchdowns in his only season as the Buckeye’s starter.
