2019 NFL draft: Patriots select WR N’Keal Harry No. 32 overall

The Patriots ended the first round of the 2019 NFL draft with the selection of Arizona State wide receiver N’Keal Harry.

New England didn’t necessarily need a wide receiver this early on, but the absence of tight end Rob Gronkowski appeared to have some impact on their decisioning.

The Patriots have the tandem of newly acquired Demariyus Thomas and veteran wideout Julian Adelman. But getting another weapon for quarterback Tom Brady was on their to-do list.

Harry, the 6-foot-2 and 228 pounder, tallied 2,889 yards and 22 touchdowns on 213 catches, finishing his career as a two-time All-Pac-12 selection in 2017 and 2018.
