2019 NFL Draft: Patriots pick OT Yodny Cajuste in third round

The New England Patriots selected West Virginia offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste with the 101st overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

He joins a draft class which includes receiver N’Keal Harry (No. 32), cornerback Joejuan Williams (No. 45), defensive end Chase Winovich (No. 77), and running back Damien Williams (No. 87).

He has a 6-foot-5, 312 pound frame that is prototypical for an NFL tackle. Cajuste was a four-year starter for the Mountaineers, but missed a chunk of games in his first two seasons because of knee injuries. He didn’t start playing football until his senior year in high school, so he will need to work on some fundamental skills before seeing the field.

He is a powerful run blocker and will give New England some versatility at the offensive tackle position.
