2019 NFL Draft: OG Connor McGovern could be an option for Titans in the third round

Fixing the issues within the offensive line is well toward the top of the priority list as the Tennessee Titans head into the mid-March free agency period and the 2019 NFL Draft.

In the latter event, the Titans may not address the need in the first couple of rounds, but could potentially pick up an offensive lineman in the third round of action.

In this case, Penn State offensive guard Connor McGovern could present a fitting option.

The 6-foot-5, 323-pounder made 12 starts for the Nittany Lions in 2018 including 11 at right guard and one at center.

He’s also received a relatively long list of awards for his efforts on his collegiate career. These include third-team All-Big Ten honors, the team’s Dick Maginnis Memorial Award for outstanding offensive linemen, was a candidate on the preseason watch list for the Rimmington Trophy for top center and the Outland Trophy, awarded to the top collegiate interior lineman.

Regardless of who the Titans choose to give them help within the interior in the upcoming season, they need to make use of the middle rounds to add quality talent like McGovern could provide.
