2019 NFL Draft: No compensatory picks for Bears

The NFL announced the list of compensatory picks for the 2019 NFL draft Friday and the Chicago Bears were once again left out of the party.

The big winners were the Rams, who received two third-round picks. The Patriots get an extra third, too, making the rich just a little bit richer heading into 2019.

The Vikings are the only team from the NFC North to receive a compensatory pick. They’ll have an extra selection in the sixth round (pick 209).

The Bears could have a different result next year this time with big-name free agents like Bryce Callahan and Adrian Amos about to hit the open market. If either (or both) leave Chicago, the Bears could end up with a decent haul for the 2020 NFL draft.

Chicago has a total of five draft picks in 2019 (Rounds 3,4,5,7,7).
