2019 NFL draft mock draft: Day 2 continues to beef up the offense around Lamar Jackson

The first round of the 2019 NFL draft is done and over with. The Baltimore Ravens got the top wide receiver on their board in Oklahoma’s Marquise Brown while dropping back and grabbing a few more Day 3 selections.

With Day 2 giving us the second and third rounds of the 2019 NFL draft, the Ravens have a golden opportunity to keep up their momentum. However, with no second-round picks, Baltimore has to hope talent falls to them.

I used FanSpeak’s mock draft simulator to put together what might happen. And as hoped, I was able to find some prospects that should immediately contribute on the Ravens’ offense.

Take a look at who I have mocked to Baltimore on Day 2 of the 2019 NFL draft:

Round 3 – No. 85: RB, Darrell Henderson, Memphis

The Ravens went for speed in the first round with Brown and they’re doubling down on it in the third. Henderson is an explosive player that can make defenders miss or outrun them on any given play and has solid hands to be a receiver out of the backfield. Henderson can immediately be a change-of-pace back opposite guys like Gus Edwards and Mark Ingram while being a safety valve in the passing game for quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Henderson helps make Baltimore one of the more intriguing and quick offenses in the league.

Round 3 – No. 102: G, Nate Davis, Charlotte

Davis is actually a bit of a steal here and falls into my lap. He’s ranked as the fourth-best guard in this draft, according to NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein.

Davis offers a good balance between power and quickness to be adept at both pass blocking and paving the way in the run game. While Davis will need to polish up some technique, he should enter training camp in a competition for the starting left guard job. With some experience at right tackle, Davis comes with a little versatility, which is never a bad thing.

For a late third-round pick, that’s about as good of a scenario as a team could hope to happen.
