2019 NFL Draft: how likely are the Titans to choose a WR in the second round?

Tennessee Titans general manager Jim Robinson undoubtedly took care of business in the first big splash of free agency.

He bolstered position groups on both sides of the ball, including at wide receiver.

The team added former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Adam Humphries, who will provide another serviceable weapon for Mariota outside of a rising Corey Davis.

With a slot receiver like Humphries who is coming off a career season, the Titans aren’t exactly pressed to select a pass-catcher in the first round.

But could they add another receiver in the second round?

NFL Network draft analyst Charles Davis sees it as a possibility.

In a recent report by Titans Online, he said Arizona State’s N’Keal Harry and South Carolina’s Deebo Samuel are potentially good choices for Tennessee, along with  Ohio State’s Parris Campbell and Iowa State’s Hakeem Butler.

“There’s going to be a ton of receivers as we get into the second round,” he said. “I don’t think wide receiver is as loaded as it has been at the top of the board, but you start getting into the second, third and fourth rounds, you can find a lot of talent and a lot of possibilities there.”

While the Titans are expected by many analysts to kick off the draft by selecting a defensive talent, it will be interesting to see if they go through with that when the draft begins on April 25.
