2019 NFL draft: Falcons worked out Vanderbilt CB prospect Joejuan Williams

With depth needs outside and in the slot, cornerback is an area the Falcons will definitely be addressing in the 2019 NFL draft.

One name they’ll be considering is Vanderbilt’s Joejuan Williams, who has worked out twice with the Patriots according to Jon Ledyard, in addition to already having worked out with Atlanta and Dallas.

Williams certainly has the physical characteristics that the Falcons look for in their cornerbacks. He checked in at 6-foot-4 and 211 pounds at the NFL combine. That length will help him press and compete with bigger pro receivers on the outside.

Let’s take a look at Williams’ tape.

Williams vs. Ole Miss

Williams vs. Georgia

Williams vs. Notre Dame

Despite his impressive size and ball skills, Williams has some work to do on his technique. Draft Wire is projecting him as a third-round pick.
