2019 NFL Draft: Dwayne Haskins working out with Giants TE Evan Engram

Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins has worn his love for the New York Giants like a badge of honor, but he took that to even greater heights on Tuesday when he met up with tight end Evan Engram for some offseason workouts at UCLA.

Haskins shared the proof of the workouts on his Instagram story.

Wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard, and running back Saquon Barkley also work out at UCLA in the offseason, but it was unclear if anyone from that trio was in attendance.

Last we saw, Shepard and Barkley were on a yacht in the Turks and Caicos vacationing with Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield, so it’s possible they have not yet returned.

Either way, Haskins is already getting a small feel for the Giants’ offense, which he believes would suit his talents.

“I feel like it would be very prolific,” Haskins said at the NFL Combine. “I’ve known Saquon since I was a sophomore in high school. We both went to the Rivals camp together and became close. They have a lot of great talent offensively and it would be a lot of fun.”

Giants offensive coordinator Mike Shula met with Haskins one-on-one at the combine, and the team later held a formal interview with the Ohio State product. Reportedly, the team came away “very impressed” with the youngster.

So, are these workouts a sign of things to come or much ado about nothing? Time will tell.
