The 49ers stood pat through the first three rounds of the draft, leaving them with three picks going into the final day of the three-day event.
Rounds 4 through 7 will take place Saturday, and San Francisco won’t pick in two of the four rounds. Here are their scheduled picks on Day 3 of the draft:
Round 4, Pick 2 (No. 105 overall)
Round 6, Pick 3 (No. 177 overall)
Round 6, Pick 40 (No. 214 overall)
The 49ers forfeited their Round 5 pick in the trade to acquire guard Laken Tomlinson prior to the 2017 campaign. They dealt their seventh-round choice to the Browns for offensive tackle Shon Coleman ahead of last season.
It wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see the 49ers trade out of their fourth-round slot to pick up an additional late-round pick. On the other hand, it would make sense if they went best player available and filled out some additional depth in Round 6.
