2019 NFL draft: Cardinals select QB Kyler Murray No. 1 overall

The mystery surrounding the Arizona Cardinals and their top pick has finally been solved.

Arizona has drafted Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall selection, a selection that many saw coming all along, but it was only a matter of time until it was revealed.

With the pick of Murray, it likely ends Josh Rosen’s short-lived time with the Cardinals. Only time will tell where Rosen ends up playing in 2019.

Murray reunites with his former coach Kliff Kinsgbury where he will serve as a dual-threat option, which is something that Kingsbury covets in his air raid style offense.

Murray brings an extremely accurate passer — both inside and out of the pocket, he has phenomenal touch, excellent deep passing accuracy, a high football IQ, and the speed to make big plays as a runner.

Murray won the Heisman after leading the Sooners to a Big 12 Championship and a berth in the College Football Playoff in 2018. Murray threw for 4,361 passing yards with 1,001 yards rushing and 54 total touchdowns.
