2019 NFL draft: Bucs select LB Devin White No. 5 overall

The Buccaneers selected LSU linebacker Devin White with the No. 5 overall selection of the 2019 NFL draft.

Tampa Bay is switching to a 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator Todd Bowles. They lost Kwon Alexander to the 49ers in free agency, so it was an evident need for them.

White was the best linebacker in college football the past two seasons, and was given the Butkus Award because of his efforts.

White finished his three-year career with 286 tackles, 28.5 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and an interception.
