The Broncos selected Iowa tight end Noah Fant with the No. 20 overall selection of the 2019 NFL draft.
Denver had three active players at the position on the roster, but none of them showed quality TE1 traits for their own reasons.
Fant will be a constant mismatch for opposing teams because he is too fast for linebackers and simply too big for safeties. Fant should have a major impact early in his professional career with Denver and provide a great target for quarterback Joe Flacco or their rookie quarterback, if they elect to select one later on.
