The Bills selected Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver with the No. 9 overall selection of the 2019 NFL draft.
Buffalo got the best player available in Oliver, as well as an immediate upgrade to the interior part of their defensive line.
Oliver exploded on to the scene in Houston as a freshman in 2016, dominating the AAC, amassing 65 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, and 5 sacks. Over his three-year collegiate stint, Oliver was a constant disruptive force in the backfield, totaling 53 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks.
