2019 NFL Draft: Bears to host Missouri WR Emanuel Hall for pre-draft visit

The Chicago Bears are always looking to add threats on offense, and the draft provides an opportunity to add another key piece. Maybe that piece is Missouri wideout Emanuel Hall, who the Bears will host for a workout this week.

Hall, who is expected to be a late-second or third-round pick, was a favorite target of Mizzou quarterback Drew Lock, and with his big-play ability, it’s easy to see why. In the past two seasons, Hall averaged 23.6 yards per catch with 14 touchdowns.

Hall is an explosive threat and the kind of home run hitter that Matt Nagy looks for to excel in his offense. While he’s got the perfect combination of size and speed, the knock on Hall is that he needs to fine-tune his routes and prove that he’s not a one-trick pony.

The Bears want dynamic threats on offense. It’s why they went out and signed Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel. It’s why they traded up to draft Anthony Miller last year. Then there’s seventh-round pick Javon Wims, who impressed during the preseason and regular season finale last year and looks to have a bigger role this season. The Bears also turned to free agency to add more speed with Cordarelle Patterson.

With the Bears always looking to add more explosiveness, don’t be surprised if Ryan Pace looks to the draft to add another piece to this offense.
