The 49ers selected Ohio State edge rusher Nick Bosa with the No. 2 overall selection of the 2019 NFL draft.
San Francisco has selected a defensive lineman with their top pick in three out of the last four years, but this is a league where you can’t have too many of them.
Even after the addition of Dee Ford in free agency, the 49ers have to put more pressure on the quarterback and Bosa was the perfect addition to a line that’ll feature Ford, DeForest Buckner and Arik Armstead and Solomon Thomas.
Bosa’s blend of athleticism, power and hand usage will allow him to step in and defeat NFL offensive linemen in a variety of ways to make an impact rushing the passer and stopping the run.
